Working with an overseas golf glove manufacturer becomes easier when the product, approval process and shipping responsibilities are clear. Texpak manufactures gloves and processes leather in Sialkot, Pakistan, and has supplied customers in the United States, France, the UK and Australia.

For a US brand, the first step is to agree what is being made and how it will be reviewed. Freight arrangements then need to match the order, destination and level of delivery service the parties have agreed.

Begin with the product and your target customer

Share the design, quantities and colours, along with your audience and project budget. Include material preferences, fit requirements, logo files and packaging if those decisions have already been made.

Texpak can work from a PDF tech pack with dimensions. We can also discuss PNG or JPEG artwork, help build a tech pack, or confirm product details through email. Mark any decision that still needs development so it does not become an unspoken assumption.

Our OEM manufacturing service covers Cabretta, synthetic and combined material constructions with custom designs and packaging.

Use the sample to approve the physical product

We offer sample making, multiple revisions and prototyping without a sample-making charge; the customer pays shipping. Sample production usually takes one to two weeks, with a separate delivery estimate commonly around three to five days depending on the courier.

Review the actual glove for fit, material feel, colour, artwork and construction. If a change is needed, measurements and marked photographs help us understand it. A physical reference sample is particularly useful when the main requirement is fit.

Record the approved version before moving to bulk production. Texpak labels samples and retains master copies in customer files for later reference.

Understand what is made in-house

Texpak owns a leather-processing tannery and prepares leather from raw hides before cutting and stitching gloves in-house. Our process includes tensile- and tear-strength testing of leather, print checks and quality checks through production.

If your brand needs a particular test method, acceptance criterion or supporting record, discuss it as part of the specification. A general description of factory checks should lead to a conversation about your actual product requirements.

Read our quality-control buyer checklist for questions to raise before production.

Agree the communication and production milestones

We provide progress updates proactively and can communicate through email, photographs, video and calls. Agree which milestones matter to your project so updates are useful and the correct person receives approval requests.

The usual production lead time is four to six weeks, starting when the agreed advance payment is received. Design, leather grade, printing options and packaging also need to be finalised. Confirm your order's schedule and shipping allowance before fixing a retail launch date.

Put shipping responsibilities in the quotation

Texpak can arrange shipping or cooperate with a buyer's own shipping arrangement. FedEx and DHL are the services we use most often for courier shipments.

We discuss FOB or cost-and-freight arrangements where appropriate to the shipment, and may consider DDP by agreement. The precise term, named place or port, and included charges must be confirmed for the transport method.

FOB and CFR are Incoterms rules for sea and inland-waterway transport; they should not simply be attached to a courier or air shipment. The International Chamber of Commerce's transport guidance explains the distinction between transport-specific and any-mode rules. When cost-and-freight shorthand such as “C&F” appears in a discussion, confirm the exact rule intended in the final quotation.

Ask who handles freight, insurance, import clearance, duties, taxes and final delivery, and what supporting documents the shipment requires. The answers depend on the arrangement agreed for the order. Confirm any US import requirements with your customs broker or relevant authority before dispatch.

Compare the complete arrangement

Before approving an order, check the product specification, sample reference, quantities, payment stages, production estimate, packaging and delivery responsibilities together.
