PGA Show 2027: A Practical Buying Guide for Golf Glove Brands and Retailers

Go into supplier conversations with a clear brief and come home with comparable information.

The 2027 PGA Show is scheduled for January 26–29 in Orlando, Florida. For a golf glove brand or retailer, the most useful preparation is a short product brief: who the glove is for, how it should feel, what quantities you need and when you need it. That makes a supplier meeting more valuable than asking for an unspecified best price.

The confirmed event details

The official PGA Show website lists January 26–29, 2027, at the Orange County Convention Center in Orlando and describes the event as trade-only. Check your eligibility and the access attached to your chosen registration. Do not assume a badge includes every education session or off-site activity.

Use the official exhibitor directory to build a shortlist. A brand appearing in an article is not proof it exhibits, and Texpak is not announcing attendance or an exhibitor stand in this guide.

Bring a one-page glove brief

A busy meeting needs a clear starting point. Write a paragraph describing your customer and add the decisions below. If you do not know a specification yet, mark it as open rather than filling the gap with a guess.

A brief that makes meetings easier to compare
BringWhy it matters
Target golfer and retail positioningA soft premium glove and a durable value glove may need different constructions.
Reference glove or fit notesShows the feel and proportions you mean more clearly than the word premium.
Materials, colors and print ideasAllows the supplier to identify development work and sourcing questions.
Quantities by design and colorSeparates the total collection from each manufacturing run.
Packaging and delivery destinationHelps reveal costs beyond the glove itself.
Launch date and approval contactMakes the required decision sequence visible.

Texpak prefers a PDF tech pack with artwork dimensions, but can also work from PNG/JPEG artwork and confirmed email details. A missing tech pack need not stop a conversation; it does mean more questions must be settled before a sample can represent the intended product.

Compare samples under the same conditions

Record the model, size, worn hand and material specification for each sample. Handle comparable sizes, make a comfortable fist and hold a club where permitted. Check whether the palm stays smooth and the closure lies comfortably. A glove that fits one buyer beautifully still needs evaluation against the intended market.

Photograph the back, palm and closure, then attach the image to that supplier's notes. Ask which sample details are standard and which can be changed. A patterned mesh back and an all-leather back should not be treated as equivalent simply because both have a leather palm.

Do not turn a few minutes at a show into a durability verdict. Request the relevant material information and arrange proper development samples. Our quality-control guide explains the questions worth following up.

Five questions worth asking in the meeting

  1. Which parts of this glove are leather, synthetic or stretch material?
  2. What exactly changes between this sample and my proposed specification?
  3. How is the approved sample recorded for bulk and repeat production?
  4. Which costs depend on each design, color, personalized name or packaging option?
  5. When does the quoted production lead time begin, and what is separate from it?

At Texpak, the usual stated sample window is 1–2 weeks and typical production is 4–6 weeks after receipt of the agreed advance payment. Revisions and shipping need their own allowances. These are Texpak's normal arrangements, not industry-wide promises or a deadline for a show-related order.

Make the follow-up specific

After each meeting, label the next action: request a specification, arrange a sample, clarify packaging, or stop pursuing the option. Send the same revised brief to the suppliers still under consideration so later quotations describe the same product.

A useful follow-up could read: “Please quote the attached construction in these two colors, with the listed quantities, this packaging and delivery to this destination. Confirm sampling, approval steps and the basis of the freight quote.” That is more productive than “Send your best price.”

For the detailed preparation, use our tech-pack checklist and manufacturing-cost guide. If you want Texpak to assess your brief, send the requirements to our team; the conversation can begin before or after the show.
